On June 8–9 2026, we hosted Ceramics Across Borders at the University of Cologne, organized with Deutsche Keramische Gesellschaft e. V. (DKG), Belgian Ceramic Society (BCerS), Netherlands Ceramic Society (NKV) and the Young Ceramists Network (YCN) of the European Ceramic Society.
The event highlighted strong international collaboration in ceramics. Prof. Sanjay Mathur opened with an inspiring talk, our Humboldt fellow Dr. Maria Basso presented on energy and environmental applications, and PhD student Ruth Adam won third place in the poster competition.
A great mix of academic and industrial talks created a vibrant, collaborative atmosphere.
