3D Printing of Functional Materials

Master's thesis topic on 3D printed materials is offered to highly motivated student

Additive manufacturing has become increasingly important in the recent years, driven mainly by the widespread availability of affordable and precise printing hardware and software. So far mainly polymer materials are available using either stereolithography (STL) or fused deposit modeling (FDM).

The current project idea focusses on fabricating organic-inorganic hybrid materials using STL processing by embedding nanostructured materials in light polymerizable matrices for biological applications.
