Recently, the Lab-Mathur group had the pleasure of hosting our colleagues from the “University and City Library of Cologne” to analyze old books for the presence of the arsenic-containing pigment “Scheele’s Green / Paris Green.”

For this delicate work, we used our new XRF device, generously donated by Orion Engineered Carbons, which enabled us to perform particularly gentle analyses on these historical treasures.
