Interdisciplinary PhD research among Chemistry, Medicine and Biology
 

The Chair of Inorganic and Materials Chemistry, University of Cologne, led by Prof. Dr. Sanjay Mathur, is an international and interdisciplinary research group focusing on precursor synthesis and functional nanomaterials for energy and biomedical
applications. 

We are seeking for an enthusiastic PhD researcher to develop Chemically Engineered Nanocarriers for stimuli-responsive active and passive targeting of site of interest in biological environment. This research project is carried out in collaboration with the University Hospital Cologne and the position can begin as early as possible.

During this research you will gain experience at the interface of chemistry, biology, and medicine. The project offers hands-on laboratory work, close supervision, and access to excellent research infrastructure. A strong interest in experimental lab work and interdisciplinary research is essential.
